Evening tours of Gustav Stickley’s Log House will run on a limited basis this August, unlocking the museum after-hours for an out of the ordinary experience. In the early 20thcentury, evenings were for entertaining; from quiet leisure activities to formal parties and lively dances.
    Our popular guided tours are personalized and illuminating; our guides are well-informed and enthusiastic. And in the warmth of summer’s early evening, before the sun sets on the day, the bygone world of this iconic building comes to life in a whole new light! Afterward, you might even ask your guide to recommend a charming area restaurant. What better way to end a summer day?

Join us for an afternoon of musik, games, and revelry 18th-century style at our 1st Annual Revolutionary Rave on Saturday, August 4, 2018, from  1-4 pm at the Taylor-Butler House!

Travel back in time and experience a bit of 18th-century social entertainment. Learn colonial dance steps, enjoy live musik of the era, and try your hand at cards or other games of the era! Light refreshments and tasty treats will be served. Marlpit Hall (c. 1686) will also be open for tours from 1-4 pm.

Gabriella Grinwald-Alves is a filmmaker/ musician from Toms River, NJ. She is the other half of local duo YĆ«gen alongside Jules Murtha. During the year she attends Sarah Lawrence College where she studies filmmaking and screenwriting. 
Flora and Fang  (Kasey Gillette and Jenny Santamaria) Kasey of Long Branch and Jenny of Brick met and decided to join forces about a year ago after they played their own sets at a house party in Montclair.  Both agreed their music needed harmonies and a collaborative partner to develop small pieces of songs into full songs.
