In honor of the seasonal blooming of the magnolia trees that flank Peachfield, and in celebration of all that blooms at Peachfield and in New Jersey, you are cordially invited to our annual Magnolia Tea.
For this year's program, we will recognize how southern New Jersey is well-known for the fertile sandy soils of the pine barrens, which is ideal for growing blueberries.
In anticipation of the height of blueberry-picking season in July and August, Kiyomi Locker, Lead Archivist and Historian of Whitesbog Preservation Trust, will be presenting on the legacy of Elizabeth Coleman White and her creation of the commercial highbush blueberry, New Jersey's state fruit.
