2020-11-05 - New Jersey - Online - 2020 Vision: A Virtual Night Celebrating History & Education

There is still time to register for METC's Benefit “2020 Vision”.  Many of you have already shown your support for METC with your generous sponsorships and ticket purchases for our Virtual Benefit on Thursday, November 5 and we thank you!   We wish we could all be together again this year, celebrating METC as a vibrant community resource that has been creating innovative learning experiences for half a century. If you have not purchased your tickets yet, there is still time to join us for this virtual party!!

Yes, these are difficult times for us all, but we believe we still have much to be thankful for.  We are thankful to all our board and staff who continued to work through these challenges  to keep METC going.  We are thankful to the teachers, parents and families who connected with us remotely, finding excellent educational content on METC’s website.  We are thankful for the technology that enabled us to adapt to a new paradigm in education through virtual field trips and remote learning opportunities.  But most of all we are thankful to you, our friends, members, sponsors and donors.  Because of you, we are still here and still producing high quality, humanities content for thousands of people throughout New Jersey. But we still need your help!  Museums, large and small, depend almost exclusively on members, donors and grants for income, and all around the country many of these museums will not survive the year.   But we are resolved not to let that happen to METC—and with your support, we know we can power through this.

So…we invite you to celebrate with us from the comfort of your home and join us via Zoom for a special evening filled with entertainment, information, humor, tasty refreshments, and many opportunities for you to continue to support METC’s educational scholarship programs! We are thrilled to have a few very special guests participate in this benefit—I’m sure you all know by now that the talented Tamar Greene from Hamilton (Broadway’s own General George Washington, if you please!) will have a special message for all of you.  We also have the amazing talents of soprano Jennifer Welch-Babidge and the fabulously funny Jim Conroy!

And of course, a party wouldn't be a party without some good food and wine! METC's "Party in a Box," created by Healthy Italia and Gary's Wine & Marketplace will help you sip, snack, and enjoy the festivities! The deadline to order your "Party in a Box" is coming up on Tuesday, November 3, so make sure to purchase your ticket today!

Thank you and I look forward to seeing you virtually on November 5

P.S. We have one more surprise for you too! Each viewer will be automatically entered into a raffle for a full beauty treatment at Salvatore Minardi Salon, valued at $420!

Join METC and Hamilton's Tamar Greene, soprano Jennifer Welch-Babidge, and emcee Jim Conroy for an evening you won't forget!
