Join Us for a Walking Tour of Historic New Bridge Landing - Meet in the Meadow • 
The Barn will be Open • Cooking in the Outkitchen

Learn about the stone houses of Bergen County through the three examples at Historic New Bridge Landing by Deborah Powell, Past president, Museum Collection Chair, and BCHS Commissioner on HNBLPC. We will begin in the Meadow at the corner of Hackensack Ave and Main St, River Edge, NJ (noted on the map below - #10) The walk continues through the site to talk about the history of the three sandstone houses and the people who lived here. The walk ends with HNBLPC Chairman Jim Smith exhibiting a musket demonstration. Visit with Joe Restivo in the Westervelt-Thomas Barn and the Outkitchen where Patty Daurizio will be cooking a chicken.

The houses are not scheduled to be open for this event due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Free Parking or take the train to the "New Bridge Landing" train stop.  

Current rules: a mask and social distancing are required. Dogs are permitted on the grounds on a leash. Admission: $12 adults, $7 students, BCHS members FREE, we encourage families to come.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Suggest for this event to bring water and wear walking shoes.
