Get your hands wet, no really! This program provides field experience for young scientists to explore the life found in Sandy Hook Bay using the water as a living classroom. We’ll set out with plankton nets to find some awesome microscopic animals that live where the land meets the water. Come along and learn what it takes to be a marine scientist along Sandy Hook Bay. Please dress to get wet. Strong winds or inclement weather will cancel the program.

    Register early for what’s certain to be a sell-out event! Morven is delighted to welcome Robin A. Jess, former Executive Director of the American Society of Botanical Artists and Coordinator of The New York Botanical Garden’s Botanical Art and Illustration Program, for a day-long workshop filled with the scent and color of Morven’s historic peonies. Beginning with a simple line drawing, participants will capture the form and feel of these airy, showy flowers. Then, watercolor in the traditional botanical methods will be taught with demonstrations and personal attention. All skill levels are welcome, and participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch to enjoy in Morven’s garden.
